It's been 4 years since the Twilight incident shook The World, the most succesful online role playing game ever created. However dramatically it changed the game, all who witnessed the event have since quit playing and memory of it has gradually faded. The World has moved on, it is a safer place now...

Shugo and his twin sister Rena, who live seperated because of their parents' divorce, are both new players in The World. They soon become the center of attention when they win a very special contest, which gives them the appearance of the legendary hackers Kite and Black Rose.

The pair will encounter friends and allies. Among them are MIreille, the rare-item hunter, the irresistible Ohka, as dangerous as she is beautiful, and the mysterious Lord Balmung, a character from the past that's keeping an eye on our two young players.

It soon becomes clear that they are not ordinary players. Unusual things keep happening around them, but they're too busy having fun to pay much attention to it. It's probably nothing. Probably.

Erg grappige serie! Als je een tweede .hack//SIGN verwacht, zal Twilight je teleurstellen, maar als je een korte maar leuke serie verwacht, is dit erg geschikt.

De animatiestijl is leuk, deed me in de verte denken aan Lucky Star (omdat't zo chibi is, waarschijnlijk). Van deze vier episode's heb'k al genoten, nu de volgende 2 DVDs nog. De extra's zijn niks om vroeg voor op te staan, of lang voor op te blijven - het zijn OPs en Commercials van andere anime's, onder andere My Hime.

ik had gezworen nooit aan deze serie te beginnen, tot ik deze DVD had gewonnen bij een tijdschrift. nu ben ik er gek op! de kwaliteit is erg goed, en het verhaal is super!

This is the best anime video that fits the best with the books that are written about it. But it is sad that you can't see it on ever dvd player, because you need the right region. But when you have you can really enjoy it.
