"Simply the best" by Cyclone_X (Belgium) on Aug 31, 2008

After the succesful Beast Wars series from Mainframe productions came Beast Machines. While many fans boo'd this series I found it to be very well written with an even more original concept (Megatron taking over WHOLE Cybertron)
The main characters dealt with this situation differently. Since Transformation (for the Maximals) now involved a certain degree of concentration, Rattrap got behind on his companions. He really suffered, and it is well portrayed in the episodes.

It really is a shame that it didn't get the attention it deserves, since the series after BM looked very promising.

Another great point was the intromusic, which was Leftfield's 'Phat Planet', a techno:electro track that suited the series very well.

"Much better than I thought" by Onslaught (Sweden) on Jan 11, 2008

I collect all Transformers cartoons and Comics I can get my hands on and even though it seemed intriguing I had no idea it would be this good!

Pretty decent computor animation, It does the job, nothing special but the characters and the ongoing plot! It's some great stuff!
They also bring up some elements from the old G1 cartoon, which perhaps a'int that surprising considering that this is the continuation of the Beast Wars-cartoon (which did that a lot).

The only thing I didn't like is the character of Nightscream, he anoys me endlessly - but that is only a minor complaint and perhaps most people don't find him so irritating.

Anyway, This is probably my favorite Transformershow after the original G1 Cartoon.

"it doesnt get any better then this" by bluekatt (Nederland) on Apr 21, 2007

This is it the very best of what the transformers have to offer. The apex of Transformers. Pity that it took a nose dive after this one, with the likes of RID and Armada but i digress.
Unlike Beast Wars, Beast machines was started with a prederminated storyline, giving in a much more coherent structure compared to its illustreous predecessor.
Beastmachines is a much darker story then beast wars with little to none of its humor, which makes it all the better. The Maximals unlike the Autobots are not al concering, always winning heroes. They are a smal rebel group on the run, with a whole dystopian planet against them. They make mistakes, Primal becomes zealous and has to pay dearly for it.
Megatron is at his worst he is a more convincing antagonist then any of the pompous overblown Decepticon leaders of the past and he nearly achives his ambition.
This all is topped off by the best end battle sequence and best last episode ever.
Where both combatans not only show off their every ability against every back drop in the series, they talk a good fight as wel. Showing both sides of the story.
You cant help but agree with both of them.
This series and this episode wil spoil you forever. The best TF series, capped by the best ever end episode. If only they were all like that.
Beastmachnes warrants the higest marks it can get.
The only bad thing is that Transtech got cancelled in favour of flotsam like RID and after this apex the quality of transformers series took a sharp nose dive down in to mediocirty.
Never the less buy this together with Beast wars, it doesnt get any better.
