Description

For ages, they have hidden among us, moving freely, influencing the growth of our society and culture.

They look like us. They sound like us. But really, they're just...Pretenders.

When the sudden re-emergence of their Decepticon foes forces the Autobot Pretenders, Earth's secret protectors, to shed their human disguises and go to war once more, Earth becomes a battleground that must be defended by its own inhabitants. As the conflict escalates, human beings are recruited by both sides, and, imbued with the power of the Masterforce, become Transformers themselves, merging with Transector bodies to join the fight. But behind it all, there is an even more sinister force manipulating events, which will culminate in the creation of the most powerful super-robot ever...the Godmasters!

Collected in its entirety for the first time anywhere in the West, Transformers: Super-God Masterforce is presented here in its original Japanese language with new English subtitles.

"masterforce" by bluekatt (Nederland) on Apr 21, 2007

Awful awfull series, that drags on for 42 mediocre episodes.
It's only noticable because its the second never seen Japanese series, but that doesnt make it any good.
The Transformers are reduced to mech status, with humans taking the ffirm leads.
The insistent yelling of transform ! and god on might be anime or japanese staple points that doesn tmake them any less annoying. After 28 episodes you'd think we get the point by now. The littel trasnformation shows are fun to watch once but when they happen 12 times in an episode you grow weary of them soon.
The plot meanders slowly on and on, and seems to be going absolutley no where. Eith illogical plot twists and crippeling single episode stories which are all too formulaic.
The Decepticons have lost ever ysense of dread and menace half way through and the last 10 episodes when the story finally kicks in to a higher gear. Are impossible to take serious. The status of the Decepticons as serious antagonists have been thoroughly squanderd.
The last episode is an anticlimax, instead of a high point.
Avoid unless you are a hard core Transformers fan and must have them.
