Description
When Hideki moves from Hokkaido to Tokyo to attend college, he quickly finds that big city life is much different than he imagined. The widespread use of Persocoms (personal computers designed to look and act like animals or humans) especially astounds him and makes him feel slightly inferior since he cannot afford one. However, when he finds a discarded Persocom in the trash, Hideki sets about fixing it up only to find that she can somehow operate it without mending the software, forcing Hideki to wonder if the Persocom is, in fact, real. CHOBITS explores everything from romance to kidnapping and murder, but always comes back to the central relationship between Hideki and his Persocom named Chi. The series is presented here in its entirety.

Write a customer review"Genre-defining romance show" by Casper Bronmans (Netherlands) on Mar 29, 2015
Chobits is easily one of the best-written romance shows to date, thanks to its sci-fi setting in which humans live alongside androids that serve as their computers. It really delves into the question of how ethical it would be if men and machine were to fall in love and each character in the cast has a story to tell that relates to this matter. The comedy requires some getting used-to and features a lot of minor fan-service moments, but overall it's very accessible and still looks quite good by today's standards. The English dub is pretty neat too and feature stellar voice-work from Crispin Freeman, Michelle Ruff, and Sandy Fox.
