Description

Narumi and Hirotaka are, by all appearances, a power couple. They're young, good-looking professionals. But they have secrets from everyone but each other: They're serious geeks! Narumi is a fujoshi, and Hirotaka's a hardcore gamer. Their sweet, awkward love story started life as a webcomic before becoming a full-blown manga series by popular demand, and is about to become a major anime series!

"Volwassen liefde" by Chantal (Nederland) on Mar 26, 2022

If you're in a geeky relationship yourself, you might relate quite heavily to the characters in this manga. Though it's likely neither you nor your partner maps one on one onto any of the manga's characters, a lot of the situations are incredibly relatable. The characters themselves are beautifully flawed and this gives the extent to which you can relate to them a deeper, more reflective side.

If you're not in one, this is a great guideline, or semi-ideal to strive towards. Soak in the otaku-romance you typically deem impossible, and throughout it becomes more and more clear that none of this is as otherworldly as it initially seems. This manga is a great and honest reflection of the beauties and hardships of otaku love, and it is visible that the author crowdsources the ideas with their friends. Nothing but real life could have spawned this.
