I won't tell anything about the story contents of this brilliant series. If you don't know Saint Seiya then i suggest you do this as soon as you can! It is a "must see" for every manga lover...
Let's talk about the technical aspect of this DVD.
Image:
It's very good in view of the age of the anime. I think they used the new remastered tapes from the Japanese edition. The colours are beautiful and image shortcomings are rare.
Sound:
Japanese (mono)
The sound is maybe a little too faint but you'll enjoy the splendid japanese dubbing and the magnificiant music of S. Yokoyama...
English (mono)
I didn't listened to the english version.
Subtitles (english)
The english subs are very distinct and understandable.
Menu & Supplements
The menus are very simple! One fixed image where you can make the following choice: episodes, languages and features.
The special features are: Mythology, a look at the mythology behind Saint Seiya; Original Japanese opening animation and ADV previews. The features are much too little but I guess that they will be divided up to several volumes...
Booklet
Just a simple sheet with at one side the cover picture and at the other side the episodes.
Artbox
It will hold the first 4 volumes of the series. Nice design and very practical.
