Description

Some live in the deep darkness behind your eyelids. Some eat silence. Some thoughtlessly kill. Some simply drive men mad. Shortly after life emerged from the primordial ooze, these deadly creatures, mushi, came into terrifying being. And they still exist and wreak havoc in the world today. Ginko, a young man with a sardonic smile, has the knowledge and skill to save those plagued by mushi . . . perhaps.

"Good" by Emma (Netherlands) on Sep 22, 2010

If you have seen the anime, the Mushishi manga won't bring you much news. With the lack of coloured visuals and stunning music, it might even be a bit of a let-down. Still, for newcomers, the manga is amazing. A roughly 300 pages per volume, thick quality paper and a splendid glossary in the back, Del Rey has surely done its best to make this release amazing for its price.

"Awesome" by Laura Cornelissen (Nederland) on May 21, 2008

Mushishi is one of the best manga ever. Very folktale like but with enough realism that you can almost imagine it being true. Ginko is a very likeable character and the themes of the manga are well thought out and not too childish. It has quite some emotional and sad moments too, so don't be surprised to find yourself wiping away a tear at some stories.

"Superb" by MJTheOne (Netherlands) on Jun 14, 2007

I really really liked the Anime, and the manga is almost the same, but it doesn't bother me, it's just the drawing style, the environnement and everything that makes Mushishi nice to read/look at. If you're into mystery and a little philosophy you should really get this one.
