Write a customer review"All new Tenchi Muyo! - Final volume" by Veli Vidgren (Finland) on Sep 7, 2007
In the final volume, also Tenchi and the rest in residence become aware of the potential threat in Tenchi's mother Kiyone, or the person who claims to be her. When Suzuka, Kagato's assistant sworn to avenge her master, finally appears, the final battle is at hand. Ryoko and Ayeka finally get themselves together to join the battle, but Tenchi's loyalties start to sway when his mother is on the opposing side.
Hitoshi Okuda proves his skills in art and storywriting as the All new Tenchi Muyo! saga is brought to an end. The battle scenes are breathtaking and suspense keeps reader on the edge of one's seat.
Conclusion of the series is well written, pleasing the fans of Tenchi Muyo, except those looking for character development. After all, Okuda's manga is just full of side stories compared to the anime. Those who like romantic comedies with slapstick must have enjoyed the ride. At least the scenery's been pleasant, thanks to Okuda's talent with art, which is nothing short of inspirational, at least in my opinion. If you've read the previous volumes, there's no way you want to miss this one!
Tenchi may not be needed, but he and his friends will be remembered...
"Het laatste deel...." by Kim Houtzager (Nederland) on May 14, 2007
