Description

Based on the best-selling graphic novel series by Maki Murakami! All Shuichi ever dreamed about was following in the footsteps of his pop idol, Ryuichi Sakuma and the band Nittle Grasper. Together with his best friend Hiro, Shuichi's formed a band called Bad Luck and they've even managed to get signed to a major recording label! But, his lyrics don't seem to impress the famous novelist Eiri Yuki. Now, Shuichi's so annoyed that he's managed to finish his song just so he can find and confront Yuki once again. But, are his actions really motivated by anger, or has he actually fallen in love? Approximate running time: 75 minutes.

"Gravitation artbox + dvd 1 - the thing all Gravitation fans must have" by Linda van der Gun (Netherlands) on Jul 27, 2004

This is probably the most gorgeous piece of anime merchandise I've bought in a long time. The artbox is beautiful, with a gorgeous Bad Luck picture on one side and an even more gorgeous Nittle Grasper picture on the other. The pictures are perfectly sharp and colourful. The dvd is also brilliant, the menus are gorgeous, even the FBI warning has been given a Gravitation theme! The extras are not bad, with the standard art gallery and cultural background notes. The dvd contains episode 1-3, and the series itself is of course funny as akways. The dvd contains both a sub and dub, whichever you prefer - the dub isnt bad, actually, but I still prefer the sub, since I dont think there's an american voice actor alive able to imitate Shuiichi's (absurdly annoying :p) screeching! There's also a lovable little extra with the dvd - a very pretty Bad Luck 'backstage pass', complete with a chain to hang around your neck. All in all, this is well worth it's money, and a must-have for anyone who even remotely considers themselves a Gravitation fan!
