"A slice of daily life of a married woman" by D'Anjal (Belgium) on Sep 9, 2005

Let me get right to the point. I didn't like it. It's not bad but I expect more fleshed out characters not the same scenes repeated over and over till in the end you wonder what did I now just witness.

So if you're up for some sugercoated romance I recommend it to you, to everyone else who is especting something to happen stay away from this.

"The daily life of a cute female manga artist, Aoi, and her even cuter husband Kai." by Mark Carson (USA) on Mar 2, 2004

Here's another one which I know will drive some readers to distraction, but I actually kind of liked. If you've ever read Japanese women's magazines (hey, there's a stack of them at the local sushi take-out place, with nothing else to read while I'm waiting), you know what to expect: short, inconsequential daily-life vignettes, all with a happy (or at least wistful) ending. Aoi is rather on the whiny side, but fortunately Kai is infinitely understanding. "Why can't my husband be more like that?" sighs the intended audience, a 25 to 35-year-old married working woman with 0 to 1 children.

The Végétal edition is unflipped, preserving the katakana sound effects and the like. It would have benefited from an additional editorial pass though, given the number of misspellings and typos I encountered. But all in all, it's decent enough, and certainly far different from anything you'll find in Shounen Jump!
