Popular Rei and shy Kira are worlds apart, until one fateful day brings them together. Rei stumbles upon Kira in the harassing hands of her sleazy art teacher and saves the quiet girl from his clutches. And when the jock plants a kiss on a statue of Mars in the studio, Kira finds herself drawn in and even summons up the nerve to ask him to model for her but problems already lurk on the horizon. Vicious upperclassman Harumi has had her sights set on Rei for a long time, and is not about to let go now. One of the most popular teen girl manga series in Japan.

"Totally sweet and romantic!" by Kisa (Nederland) on Sep 3, 2005
I _LOVE_ mArs
the story is so sweet, romantic and dramatic.
it's really great to see how Rei and Kira, though they are totally different, are drawn to each other.
I really really reccmend it!
"In short, addictive and wonderful!" by Adar (USA) on Oct 3, 2004
In the beginning of volume one, you are introduced to Kira and Rei. Kira is a shy, artistic student that seems to be somewhat fradgile while Rei is a outgoing, strong... delinquent. As they begin to comunicate with one another, their relationship grows from dislike to possible love. The true character is revealed in each of them as they face their personal demons. Niether of the two are who they seem. It brings a new meaning to "don't judge a book by its cover" with these two characters. This is a series that you have just got to love.
"Dramatic and beautiful love story" by EveAngel (Finland) on Nov 5, 2003
Kira and Rei are two souls from totally different souls. That's why when their mutual interest for each other awakens, problems surface, as they both have some dark secrets in their past. Haunting them into their present.
The artwork is clear and very passionate at times. The scenes are so powerful, they make you cry and laugh with the characters.
Mars is totally addictive reading. Once you pop this baby, you won't be able to stop. Unless you run out of cash. ^_^
