Street Fighter 2 is a legend! It was and still is one of or the best fighting games to date! So of course it needs an anime to match that legend and SF2: The animated Movie satisfyies in every way you want it to be.

I read somewhere that for the fighting scenes they first watched the fights with real martial artists and then used that as a reference point. I don't know if it's true but you can surely tell that the fighting looks extraordinary realistic. Every punc and kick is well calculated and in it's place. And it's also drawn with amazing detail! Every character looks so true to their gamecounterpart as it should be. The story follows the game so it won't be anything new of course but thank god the animators didn't hire storywriters with the assignment to write an entire new story.

The plot outline with Ken fighting Ryu at the end however was very nice! To see those two stacked against eachother is Street Fighter dream come true but of course friends don't hurt eachother but what i mean by that you have to see for yourself.

The best Street Fighter anime to date. I like to see better than this!
