"Goeie movie!" by raffles (Nederland) on Aug 8, 2005

Ik heb de movie gezien, en was echt onder de indruk.
Door de recensies hieronder verwachtte ik er niet veel van, maar het viel echt heel erg mee!
Als je een Rurouni Kenshin fan bent, moet je deze zeker gezien hebben!

"Only good for the fans" by Ghizlan (Nederland) on Feb 7, 2005

You can better watch at the episodes on telly or on the dvds. It's just a long episode, but for the kenshinfans, it's forth it.

"Not really good... " by Mausthemighty (Nederland) on Jun 7, 2004

I have to agree with Tri about this movie. It is nothing more than like a long (boring) episode of the series. My overall opinion of the series is that the first two seasons (the wandering samurai and the kyoto story-arc) and the OVA's are the best anime can offer (those you MUST have!!). On the other hand, this movie and the meiji era story-arc are mediocre. I would say that you better can spend your money on those SWEET bento boxes of the first two seasons and buy Kenshin Tsuikouhen too, the OVA that describes Kenshin's past.

"Unless you're a fan, don't place this item on top of your list." by Tri (Denmark) on May 7, 2004

It's a 'below average'-title to watch, unfortunately. I rented this DVD in hopes of seeing something like the TV series, but was greatly disappointed. The movie tries to recapture the atmosphere from the series, but never really accomplishes it. There's nothing *new* to it, but seems like one of the BAD prolonged episodes. If you haven't watched the TV series, the OVAs or read the manga, then your opinion of it may be a lot better than mine, but I can't honestly recommend this series for people who aren't genuine RK fans. And even then, I'd say you have to be a rather big fan, if you're ready to spend more than an hour of your life on something that I think, will probably not entertain as much as one would expect.
