Description

A wonderful and romantic wintertime bishojo adventure, this is Snow Drop, the next excellent title from Peach Princess!

You are Minoru Sasazuka, age 19, a bit of a dreamer with a difficult tendency of not being able to make decisions when your heart is involved. A normal Japanese boy, trying to get into college, you've got a handsome physique that should make you popular with girls, but your occasional penchant for romanticism drives them away.

Invited on a winter dream ski trip with a group of friends, you head for a ski lodge for some winter skiing and fun. For you, it's a journey home, since you frequented this particular lodge since wen you were young. With you are Kyoka, a very special childhood friend of yours, her stylish sister Keika, and your sister, Honami. At the lodge, you enjoy the hospitality of the owner, Kasumi, a competent woman with a tinge of sadness in her eyes. Also at the lodge is the lovely Shizuka, the mysterious helper who has many secrets.

As the story develops, you are confronted with the reality that Kyoka, your friend since childhood, loves you. You've suspected this, but haven't ever been able to face this before now, with the magical and romantic winter snow all around you. At the same time, you are strangely attracted to the quiet and romantic Shizuka-chan -- which will you choose? If you're able choose correctly and guide the characters around you through the story, you'll be rewarded in the second half of the game. But if you fail, you could end up with a broken heart -- or much worse.

A fantastic and beautiful bishojo game from Japan's Will, Snow Drop offers much to fans of erotic anime themes. In addition to an excellent original CD soundtrack, the game's thoroughly modern game engine supports full voice -- the characters speak in their beautiful Japanese voices, while the English appears on-screen.

"Very good bargain." by Sunabozu (Portugal) on Jun 9, 2010

Well, Exodus already made a nice review. The game is good, and it's really cheap. Exodus said it all about the game. However, I had a little trouble installing the game. I have the K-Lite codecs, and it is incompatible with the game. I tried installing the game in a clean computer, but then codecs were missing. Resuming, if I had K-Lite codecs I could not hear voices, and in the clean computer I could not see the movies.... I had a hard time but I finally could solve the problems. Oh, and you really need that walk-through, because the game is really difficult.

"Good, but not excellent" by Exodus (Belgi├ź) on Dec 7, 2004

A rather good Bishojo game, right from the start. After your parents drop you and your sister off in the Skiing lodge, you're stuck there for five full days with five other girls (including your sister). In five days, you can find a girlfriend, or go home as the single guy you arrived as.

The graphics are great, good coloring, good artwork.

Music is excellent, I never once had the desire to mute the sound.

Plot is not too bad. As in most bishojo games, you've an option to go places of your own choice. But it isn't easy to make the right decisions, and have a good ending. I had to use a walkthrough to get the right endings.

The voices are original Japanese. A nice touch to the game, if you like hearing girls speak Japanese. (There is an option to disable this feature though.)

One thing I was worried about, when I was installing the game. It said it would run on Win 95/98/ME. There was nothing on the box about Win XP. But I had no trouble running it, so that's fine.

Overall, this game is one of the betters I've played. But it does not live in up to the legacy of Bishojo classic Seasons of the Sakura.
