Working with Harvey Dent and Lieutenant Gordon, Batman races to discover who Holiday is! Collected from the original 13-issue series!

Taking place during Batman's early days of crime fighting, this new edition of the classic mystery tells the story of a mysterious killer who murders his prey only on holidays. Working with District Attorney Harvey Dent and Lieutenant James Gordon, Batman races against the calendar as he tries to discover who Holiday is before he claims his next victim each month. A mystery that has the reader continually guessing the identity of the killer, this story also ties into the events that transform Harvey Dent into Batman's deadly enemy, Two-Face.

This edition includes original 13-issue series as well as four additional story pages cut from the original series, which are presented fully colored and restored to their place in the story. Also featured are sketches and an introduction by the director and writer of The Dark Knight Rises, Christopher Nolan and David Goyer.

"My kind of Batman story" by Robin (Belgium) on Mar 29, 2015

To be honest this is the kind of story I read Batman for. If I wanted lots of superhero action and flashy colours I could read lots of other books. Tim Sale's art is very dark, but it suits the story. It's a plot that really makes you keep reading. And rereading too, because after reading it once you'll probably feel like you missed something and read it again. It's Batman at his best: doing detective work in a city controlled by the mob. It also has a lot of characters, like Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Joker, Solomon Grundy, The Riddler,...

"Classic batman tale" by filip zhukov (Belgi├ź) on Aug 12, 2012

This comic has been an insparation for the film, the dark knight. This fact alone is more than enough for any batman fan! But believe me one i say this is truly a very thrilling piece of work to read! you will get to know batman one he's just starting to become the man that we all now know and love. You will get to meet two face and his origin. It's a crime story with the maffia involved and a mystery killer. Who only kills one holidays. Who is he? Why is he doing this? Why is the maffia involved? Read it and you will find out!

As god is my witness most of the batman and comic fans will enjoy this comic and even fall in love with it!

"Trick or treat!" by Robert J Hendriks (Nederland) on Mar 15, 2012

It took me some time to pick this up, although I had heard a lot of good things about this story. But the story wasn't my problem, it's the art. I glanced through the pages several times before, but I didn't like what I saw. It almost made me pass up on this book, until I finally thought "screw it" and bought it, and I'm glad I did, 'cause this story is great. It's basically a murder mystery where a killer they name "Holiday" only strikes on...well...holidays. This story kept me guessing all the way to the end and I have to admit, after some time Tim Sale's art started to grow on me. Great book.
