Hippolyta, queen of the Amazons, has kept a secret from her daughter all her life-and when Wonder Woman learns who her father is, her life will shatter like brittle clay. The only one more shocked than Diana by this revelation? Bloodthirsty Hera-so why is her sinister daughter, Strife, so eager for the truth to be told? Superstar writer Brian Azzarello creates a new direction for one of DC's best-known heroes, with spectacular art by Cliff Chiang and Tony Akins!

"Better than expected" durch Lenny Van Daele (Belgium) auf 22.12.2014

This is the first I've read from Wonder Woman, and I was pleasantly surprised. I really liked the mythology in it, it doesn't require a lot of knowledge. Everything is well explained. I'm already looking forward to read the next volume.

"Epic" durch Robin (Belgium) auf 06.11.2014

Azzarello's run on Wonder Woman focuses on the mythological aspects of the character, reinventing the Greek Pantheon and turning Diana (Wonder Woman) into a Champion of the Gods in the more classical sense of the word. The large supporting cast is definitely an asset which makes for some interesting relationships and character interactions.
Wonder Woman may be a compassionate all-loving hero, her divine family -and therefor her book- is one of the more aggressive. As a result there is a lot of action to top it all off.
