Description

The Cell Games are on and the world's greatest fighters have gathered to see if they have what it takes to defeat Cell, the perfect warrior. Teaming up to take him down, Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, Krillin, Trunks, and Piccoloi must strategize together in order to stop the supposedly unstoppable machine! In the Dragon Ball Z: Perfect Cell Dice Game, players take control of an iconic Dragon Ball Z fighter and roll their dice to generate energy. Using custom icons, players allocate their dice into performing attacks, helping other players, or buying upgrades. Players need to work together though, as Cell will continue to generate new threats that can heal him, damage all players, or lock players out of potentially game changing upgrades!

"Hit and miss" by NaNa (België) on Nov 30, 2018

The design of this game looks beautiful, but the gameplay itself feels a bit needlessly complicated. There are tiles you barely ever use, options that don¿t differ all that much from each other and power-ups you don¿t really need, because in general winning this cooperative game isn¿t very hard. As a result of this, going through all the different steps takes a while and you spend a lot of time counting points (which doesn¿t have to be a problem, but it becomes one if this is the only thing going on). The flavour is also hit and miss; Krilin having a supporting role makes sense, but Vegeta¿s special power is ¿Starts with Kamehameha¿, which is someone else¿s attack. As a fan of the series, I felt they missed an opportunity here to make the game more varied and the characters more than just another name on the card.
