"Tsukihime - an enchanting Type-Moon experience" by Joona (Finland) on Aug 11, 2011

Shingetsutan Tsukihime is an anime adaptation of a visual novel created by Type-Moon. Despite it having received lots of critic for not following the original work closely or carefully enough this anime is a very enchanting experience. The anime captures from the get go with interesting characters and extremely moody soundtrack and as always is with Type-Moon stories, you get entangled in the web of mysteries and want to see more. The animation is fairly simple but the designs work well on the series and give it a slightly visual novel-esque vibe. Expect dark colors and one of the best soundtracks in anime ever.
Tsukihime is a dark mooded series with drama and thriller with horror thrown in the mix. One of the few drawbacks of the series is its shorter length of only 12 episodes as the story could have yielded more.
However, if vampires / romance / darker themes interest you; don't let the negative feedback scare you away and just step into the Nasuverse (Nasu is the writer of most Type-Moon products). Empty your mind, sit back and enjoy what is a interesting ride.

Get ready to become a Type-Lunatic!

"Yet another Type Moon masterpiece." by Chris (France) on May 11, 2011

Much like other Type Moon productions, Tsukihime is a dark and strange yet captivating anime with fantastic visuals and the distinctive type moon style. The main character possesses a very unique and uncommon power which makes him fairly original. The main female, Arcueid, is quite frightening yet fascinating as well as having a softer side that shows from time to time. The makers also took a different approach to the usual vampire trend which makes a change from all the other shallow vampire stories. Bottom line. If you liked any of Type moons other productions, there's no reason why you wouldn't like this.
