     | Really good. - 25 Dec, 2012 |

This manga is really, really good. It has a nice mixture of romance and comedy and it's quite a realistic story. (If you've read Death Note), the art in this is more 'derpy' or funnier in contrast to the more serious art in Death Note. Never less, this manga is very good and is very fun to read! |

Great series about two boys who want to be mangaka. The characters are sympathetic, the art looks nice and the story feels realistic despite their big dreams. Very much advised for people who want to learn more about making manga and read a enjoying story at the same time. |

deze manga is goed.
niet allen is de verhaal is goed. je komt nu ook te weten wat je als mangaka moet doen voor een manga.
de art is net zo goed als in de ander werken van deze mangakas. |
     | Art had to be better than this! - 12 Feb, 2012 |

Good story! But the art is disappointing compared to early work of Takeshi Obata. Thats what the stars took down. Happily it looks much better in the anime than in the manga, that's why I prefer the anime above this manga, what is rare for me. But if the art was better, it would defenatly get 5 stars! |

I like the story of this manga, but the art is not that good.
If you compare this with the art of Death Note, this is much worser. But the story is very good and nice to read, so that keeps the points high. |

When I started to read this, I thought; what's this?
A really interesting story of how to become a mangaka. The struggle and fighting with the difficulties to become one gives the feeling that it really happened.
This is a totally different story as their previous work (Death Note), but it's as good as it! |

STORY : Moritaka is hesitant to seriously consider Akito's proposal because he knows how difficult reaching the professional level can be. Still, encouragement from persistent Akito and motivation from his crush push Moritaka to test his limits! IT'S great! Really, I fell in love when reading the first few volumes. It's unique and exciting. I love drawing myself so that may also be part of why I like it so much. The character design is great and the enjoyment is high. The art is very good too, you can really see the artist getting better himself while drawing through the volumes. It is definitely worth buying. |
     | Informative manga marred by childish characters - 20 Sep, 2010 |

Bakuman offers readers endless amounts of information of the ins and outs of the Japanese comics industry packaged in hotblooded shounen manga action. This sounds great on paper, but the characters come very close to ruining the series with their backwards, sexist ways of thinking. It's a fun series, but you'd better keep reminding yourself that teenagers are stupid and that the avarage shounen hero isn't any smarter. |
     | A must read manga - 26 Aug, 2010 |

Bakuman has a story which I've never seen before.
Two boys trying to become manga-ka, that's it basically.
But the more chapters the story gets the more and more interesting it gets too like with the appearence of new characters.
And then there is this almost ridiculous relationship between Miho & Mashiro and in the last few chaps the relationship between Mashiro and Takagi has changed a bit too.
They want to make their dreams come true and of course to beat their rival(s) like we know it from Shonen-Mangas but in Bakuman you won't find a typicall shonen because there are no fights or anything supernatural. Just boys drawing manga...
The art of Bakuman is amazing like we know it from Death Note but I "only" gave it a 9 because somtimes it overkills and it's too much.
Characters are great designed and although they're similar they're totally different too.
Takagi is a genius and Mashiro is more the romantic type ^^
The enjoyment is very high(10) for me because I never know what'll happen next and a new chapter always surprises me. Bakuman is also very funny with a lot of jokes and humorous moments. (Thanks to Miyoshi xD)
Overall Bakuman is really worth reading also because you see how the Shonen-Jump works and how though it is to become and be a manga-ka. |
