Kurokami The Animation is based on the manga by the same name from Korean creative team consisting of writer Young Lim Dall and artist Park Sung Woo (the manga has been released in the U.S. by Yen Press under the title Black God). The anime is directed by Tsuneo Kobayashi (director of The Twelve Kingdoms) with series story composition by Reiko Yoshida, and character designs and animation direction by Hiroyuki Nishimura (Fatal Fury, Fullmetal Alchemist the movies). The story focuses on Keita, a high school student living on his own, lost his mother in his youth. One night at a ramen stand, he meets a mysterious girl named Kuro. Keita is told the story of how if a person runs into another that looks just like them, they would die. From Kuro, Keita learns of the Doppeliner System and the Coexistence Equilibrium and how his life would never be that same afterward...

Ik was onder de indruk van de eerste paar afleveringen van Kurokami, maar naarmate de serie vordert verloor ik interesse. Maar als je hiervan houdt - er wordt gevochten in iedere episode, en als je het concept (1 vecht, de ander ondersteunt door kracht door te sturen) niet te simpel vind kan ik deze toch aanraden. De animatie is alles behalve slecht, en hetzelfde geld voor de voice-over (de japanse, alvast). Als ze de sfeer van de eerste twee afleveringen hadden kunnen behouden had ik er waarschijnlijk meer van genoten.

Très différent du manga... Beaucoup de choses ont été changées pour passer du manga à l'anime dans cette série. Maintenant libre à vous de voir ceque vous préferez entre l'anime et le manga mais dans mon cas, je penche plus pour le manga. Sinon le générique de fin est sublime.
