Always wanted to draw an animation? Put your dreams on paper and see them move! Developed by Howling Riot as a handy tool for aspiring animators, Animation Pads are an advanced type of flip-books with special see-through paper, well suited to drawing small animations. Each Pad is equipped with a basic tutorial and a position reference grid.

The Animation Pad has 50 pages sized 8.5x11.5 cm. You can draw your animation page by page, and see the previously drawn page through the paper for reference. The pages are bound at the top so you can "play" your animation as with a flip-book, or you can scan the pages and make a digital animation of it. The pad has a built-in flap with a grid on it, which can be put underneath the see-through pages to provide a stable reference for the position and movement of what you are animating.
The Pad's developer, Howling Riot, is an international group of manga artists, of whom several study the art of animation themselves.

Dit is niets meer en niets minder dan een boekje met 70 grams papier. Ik had wat specialer, transparanter papier verwacht, maar het is gewoon het papier dat je bij de plaatselijke kantoorvakhandel kunt halen, en door de dunheid (iets) transparant is. Helaas schijnt alleen dikke, afgewerkte lineart echt goed door - voor het animeren van meer schetserige tekeningen is dit hulpmiddeltje minder geschikt.

dit ding wekrt echt!!!!! eerst dacht ik dat gaat nooit lukken :P maar er is goed over na gedacht er je kan door de velletjes heen kijken zo dat je de voor gaande plaatjes ook kan zien zodat ze allemaal op elkaar lijken :D echt een aanrader voor de beginnende animatie maker net als ik :D KOPEN DUS

This really can come in handy, you can easily create a nice animation. And if you have a scanner it's even possible to make a nice flash movie out of it!
