"A bit predictable.." by Anthoinette (Netherlands) on Aug 26, 2010

Wild Ones started interesting, but became a little predictable, which lost favor in my eyes. The heroine was a typical shoujo girl- big appetite and naive. I liked the artwork, drawn nicely with humorous scenes mixed in. The story was sweet though and I was happy with the outcome overall.

"Funny and loveable" by Myrthe Duin (Nederland) on Apr 1, 2008

This manga is hilarious. At least, that's what I think. Although the first pages seem a little sad, the fun begins as soon grandpa comes to collect his granddaughter. Mocking the image of cool and stone-hearted yakuza a little, Kiyo Fujiwara shows us that you really shouldn't judge a book on its cover. Sachie for example, is your typical shoujo-heroine; a strong-willed girl that falls in love with her bodyguard although she denies everything at first.

This seems stereo-typical. Maybe it is. But the thing is, the whole story is presented so well, that I was left calling for more. As the story continues, you'll find out that Sachie is not only strong-willed, she's also just a normal (and kind of dense) high school girl that just wants to lead a normal life and has to learn to accept her new family and their.. "quirks".

'Wild Ones' is overall a extremely funny manga with touching moments, loveable characters and a satisfying story. You'll want more after the first one, believe me.
