Spice & Wolf is quite an unusual series. The story is about a traveling merchant Kraft Lawrence who makes a deal with Holo, the incarnation of a wolf goddess, to accompany her home to the north. It doesn't sound very interesting when you explain that the story is basically about medieval economics. Admittedly I had to rewind a couple of times before I completely understood what they were talking about. The story also isn't quite as action packed as the standard anime show, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. That begin said Spice & Wolf has a strong story (being an adaptation from a novel). The humor is very subtle from time to time and I find the romance not be in-your-face which I personally appreciate. ALSO a great English cast with Brina Palincia as Holo and J. Michael Tatum as Lawrence. All in all I really enjoyed watching it and I really recommend it.
